Description
Digital accessibility ensures that all individuals, including people with disabilities, can effectively access and use digital content and technology. It is both a legal requirement and an essential practice for promoting equity, inclusion, and access. Accessibility must be considered when creating, sharing, acquiring, and purchasing digital tools and materials. During this course, learners will explore foundational principles and practical steps for creating accessible digital content from the start, supporting inclusive experiences for all users.


Objectives: 

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of digital accessibility
  • Identify common accessibility barriers in digital materials
  • Apply foundational accessibility principles when creating and sharing content 

Course Format:

  • 6 units, approximately 15-20 minutes each
  • Designed for flexible, self-paced learning
Final Assignment:
Learners will submit one example demonstrating how they applied course learnings to improve or evaluate the accessibility of a digital tool or piece of content.
